Our Story
The Tannahill Centre is the beating heart of Ferguslie Park, a vibrant hub where people come together to connect, learn, and support one another. Established in 1995 and officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Centre has proudly served the community for 30 years, growing and adapting to meet the needs of local people.
Today, the Centre is home to essential services, community organisations, and local businesses, while also hosting a wide range of community-led activities that bring life and energy to Ferguslie Park. Our long-standing commitment to empowering and uplifting residents has been recognised nationally through The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest honour given to volunteer groups in the UK.
The Tannahill Centre Vision
We are a subsidiary of Ferguslie Park Housing Association, working together to achieve our shared purpose: the regeneration and continued development of Ferguslie Park.

Our Role as a Community Anchor Organisation
As a community anchor, we bring people together to learn new skills, support one another, and use these strengths to address local challenges. We support, encourage, and empower the many volunteers and unconstituted groups working to make Ferguslie Park thrive. Our work includes:
Volunteers
Providing informal and formal training to volunteers.
Community Groups
Supporting unconstituted and smaller constituted groups with funding and practical help.
Connecting Locally
Collaborating across the community to meet local needs in creative, responsive ways
The New Tannahill Centre Limited is a company limited by shares (SC297320) and registered as a charity in Scotland (Sc041487). We are a subsidary of Ferguslie Housing Assocation Limited and together we form the Ferguslie Group, working together to realise our shared core purpose to regenerate Ferguslie Park and to work with partners to channel ideas, action and investment into Ferguslie Park.
